Successful candidates will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, participating in an exciting range of initiatives and service provisions for East London and beyond. The position requires participation in a 1:8 rolling on-call rota across Emergency theatres, critical care, and obstetrics, with an initial 6-month tenure and potential for extension by mutual agreement. This role is particularly suitable for candidates working towards Stage 1 RCoA competencies.

Trust Doctor in Anaesthetics Whipps Cross University Hospital
Anaesthetic junior post/s have become available within the department of Perioperative Medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital. These posts are funded by Barts Health and are therefore Trust Grade appointments. They attract the MN37 payscale, 1A banding supplement (50%) and London weighting. These posts may also assist successful candidates who are working towards Stage 1 RCoA competencies.
The Department of Perioperative Medicine provides anaesthesia for all surgical specialities and is involved in many exciting initiatives. The Critical Care Unit/s comprises 17 beds. There are 800 - 900 admissions per year. The maternity unit provides an engaging training environment and has 4500-5000 deliveries/year. On calls are on a 1:8 rolling rota and will be in either Emergency theatres, critical care or obstetrics.
