CANCER GASTROENTEROLOGIST NHS ON-CALL
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in Gastroenterology with an interest in Hepatobiliary Endoscopy to join their expanding and patient-focused department, which spans three hospital sites. The role involves conducting endoscopy procedures, including ERCP and EUS, participating in Upper GI and Hepatobiliary cancer multidisciplinary teams, and managing outpatient clinics alongside inpatient care on a 1:8 rota. The consultant will be part of a dynamic gastroenterology team providing 24/7 GI Bleed on-call services, with opportunities to lead sub-specialty areas and supervise junior staff.

The position allows for professional development within a supportive environment, with flexibility for less than full-time applications. Key responsibilities also include engaging in urgent and emergency care duties, contributing to the General Internal Medicine (GIM) workload on a consultant-of-the-week basis, and participating in educational activities.
