Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer to join the secretarial team in the Orthopaedics Department at Wansbeck General Hospital. The role involves providing a comprehensive clerical and secretarial service to Consultants and Specialist Nurses, including transcribing clinical documentation using the Trust's digital dictation system. The successful candidate will also support administrative functions within the Surgery department, manage electronic patient records, and handle phone inquiries, with the potential to act as a Team Secretary during short periods of leave.

Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and initiative. Experience with typing, word processing, and IT applications is preferred, specifically OCR/RSA III qualifications or equivalent. The position may require covering other clerical roles as necessary, and site preferences can be discussed during the interview process.
