The "Face to Face (F2F) General Practitioner, Out of Hours Service" role at Oxford Health NHS Trust in Abingdon offers GPs a unique opportunity to join a dedicated overnight team providing urgent primary care across Oxfordshire. The position involves delivering immediate care to patients when normal services are closed, through face-to-face consultations at clinics, home visits, and remote consultations. With a focus on patient assessment and management, GPs will work within a multidisciplinary team, requiring skills in managing acute conditions and providing support to non-medical practitioners.

This substantive position accommodates flexible working hours (minimum 17 hours per week), including night shifts during weekdays and weekends, and may involve working out of various base locations across the county. Candidates will also be involved in the training of GP trainees, clinical audits, and have the opportunity for professional development. The role emphasises community-based urgent care and integrated patient-centered service delivery, with travel expenses reimbursed as per Trust policies.
