The Virtually Assessed Pathway (VAP) Assessor at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff will join a small team of nurses and pharmacy technicians to provide remote clinical assessments for patients requiring chemotherapy or systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) within 2-3 days. This role involves analyzing blood results, authorizing SACT, and managing patient care throughout their cancer treatment journey, fostering a strong relationship with patients through ongoing assessments.

The post holder will assess care needs, develop and evaluate care programs, and contribute to clinical governance initiatives. Flexibility in working hours is offered, allowing for part-time, full-time, or job-share arrangements. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and may involve acting as the named nurse for designated patients. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable, but candidates fluent in either Welsh or English are encouraged to apply.
