Job description
Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) is an innovative partnership made up of 4 organisations coming together to pool their respective expertise to ensure service users receive a high-quality recovery orientated substance misuse service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SIAS. The substance use practitioner will join the substance use element of service provision. The role is focused on the delivery and development of substance interventions as part of individualised recovery plans.
We now require one band 5 skilled Practitioner to provide quality recovery focussed care for our service users which promotes and sustains freedom from dependency. A proven team player, with an interest in substance misuse and a strong sense of the importance of partnership the post holder will be able to deliver interventions for service users with complex problems instilling hope and ambition as the two most important staging posts on the road to recovery.

To facilitate service users to enter and move through integrate recovery based services and enhance opportunities for service users to achieve identified goals and sustained recovery. The post holder will provide case management to a designated caseload of service users ensuring that a comprehensive assessment is completed. Based on assessment the focus of the role will be to provide recovery based interventions to enhance service user recovery and service experience. The post holder will engage service users in health promotion and provide low intensity psychosocial interventions as appropriate to service user need.
The post holder will work closely with the team leader in the development of effective systems and processes for the delivery of recovery based integrated services for drugs and alcohol. You will ensure that there are effective care pathways to a range of services that will enhance individual recovery and reintegration This will be achieved by forming effective partnership links with identified partners and community organisations including employment /training providers, housing and mental health.
