The Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Dental Officer to join their team in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to both adult and paediatric patients, particularly those accessing the Specialist Dental Service due to complex medical conditions or disabilities that impede their ability to receive standard dental services. Experience in Special Care Dentistry is preferred, but candidates with a strong interest in this area will also be considered.

This full-time position entails delivering clinical dental care in various settings, including domiciliary visits for housebound patients. The role requires excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, particularly in challenging situations. Additional responsibilities include supervision and training of dental care professionals, maintaining clinical records, participating in service development, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Applicants must be GDC registered and hold a valid NHS performer number.
