Public Health Wales is seeking a Regional Lead for Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention to join its National Suicide and Self Harm Prevention team in Cardiff. This role involves overseeing the regional implementation of the national suicide prevention strategy, coordinating with various stakeholders including statutory and third-sector agencies, and facilitating the North Wales Regional Forum. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and addressing local needs, supporting the development of national workstreams, and ensuring equitable resource distribution to mitigate inequalities.

The ideal applicant will have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification, extensive experience in public health or mental health, and strong relationship management skills. They should be adept at strategic planning and project management, with a deep understanding of suicide and self-harm issues. Proficiency in Microsoft software and the ability to analyze data to inform policies are also essential. Candidates who can communicate in Welsh are encouraged to apply, although both Welsh and English speakers are welcome.
