The Senior Mental Health Practitioner role at Oxford Health NHS Trust involves working within the South Oxon CAMHS Getting More Help Team in Abingdon. The position is aimed at Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists who will contribute to a needs-driven, accessible mental health service for children and adolescents based on the Thrive model. The practitioner will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, conducting mental health and risk assessments, developing holistic care plans, and managing a clinical caseload. They will also participate in a duty rota to support children presenting with risk factors.

The team emphasises professional development and clinician wellbeing, offering various training opportunities, including systemic skills and therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Supportive supervision and tailored job plans are integral to the role, ensuring a collaborative environment focused on celebrating team achievements and effectively managing caseloads. The position is full-time with the potential for part-time arrangements, and services are offered to the local community from Monday to Friday.
