Job description
This role is a key part of the Trust's transformation and will help shape the clinical transformation programme (National Quality Improvement Programme) ensuring service user and carer participation and involvement are centre to all aspects of the programme as it progresses.
The post holder will be responsible for co-leading on the design and delivery of new ways of working through our system inpatient transformation plans, ensuring best practice in the co-production of service design and delivery are embedded in all aspects of the delivery of care and support. They will lead on the national Culture of Change programme as part of their overall leadership of inpatient transformation.
The post holder will provide their own inpatient lived experience and participation expertise within the Programme team.
The post holder will work as an integral member of the team to promote, co-ordinate and implement lived experience involvement of all people in line with our Trust's People Participation strategy and the wider national participation agendas. They will be an active and valued contributor to the Programme, with a specific focus on participation, ensuring that the voices of service users, carers and families drive the design and development of improvement.
The key focus of the role will be:
Co-design: ensuring expert by experience engagement and co-production is fully implemented across the design and delivery of service development and change with the benefit to people using services at the forefront of any change.
Co-leading: The post holder both chair and co-chair a number of meetings to drive forward change, lead timely and high-quality programme reporting through the appropriate governance, and present reports where required.
They will be the Lived Experience programme lead for the Culture of Change Programme on behalf of the organisation.
Redesign services: To support the engagement of lived expertise, users of services and carers, into the workstreams alongside supporting the overall programme to ensure lived expertise voice and co-production is available to wider system work.
Strategic leadership: on cultural change and transformation at a system level as the Lived Experience Lead for the Trust and system on the national inpatient programme.
Developing a sustainable system of engagement and support including analysis and feedback mechanisms, alongside clear forging of links and relationships with wider People Participation and Lived Experience Teams
