The Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Capital Project Manager for its Decarbonisation Program within the Estates Department. This Band 8b position, under a temporary contract until March 31, 2027, focuses on transitioning approximately 70% of the Trust's estate to a District Heat Network for heating and hot water. The successful candidate will need strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills, with proven experience in healthcare planning and delivering capital projects over £1 million, ideally including decarbonisation initiatives. Additionally, the role entails collaboration on other strategic capital projects, effective stakeholder management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Capital Project Manager will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Heat Decarbonisation project, working closely with the Associate Director of Estates and leading a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should possess a relevant qualification in the Built Environment and be adept in using CAD and project planning software. The role requires a forward-thinking approach to healthcare development, emphasizing digital innovation and transformative models of care, while maintaining an understanding of the broader implications of project decisions.
