opportunity has arisen at Wexham Park Hospital (WPH). This static role will give you an opportunity for targeted training to further develop or acquire specialist OT skills within medicine (Respiratory, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Frailty, Falls and Dementia care). You will have access to the newly launched competency framework and standardized career pathway framework.

The OT department has a structured business plan in place, and it fully supports the weekly 20% protected non-clinical time including training that will be instrumental in enabling you to excel in your enhanced static role.

The team is led by a dedicated Principal OT for medicine who works closely with the Team Leader and Clinical Specialist. There is also support available from the Practice Development Lead and Clinical Flow lead for OT. This strong senior support is a commitment to achieving a clear vision that prioritizes staff development, collaborative working and creating a positive workplace culture.

We are interested in supporting OTs who are looking to return to practice (RTP).

To provide excellent, holistic and person-centered clinical care that advocates for patients

Participate in audits, data gathering and analysis exercises with support from senior colleagues

Actively seek areas for improvement and be open to change

Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the clinical area, in the absence of the team leader

Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff with support from senior colleagues
