The Crisis Line Practitioner role at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust involves providing 24-hour telephone support to young people experiencing emotional and mental health crises, along with their families and acute colleagues. Based in Redhill, the practitioner will assess the needs and risks of callers, develop immediate crisis management plans, and facilitate safe hospital discharges, ensuring follow-up with the Crisis Intervention Service the following day. The position requires a mix of day and night shifts and offers a £3000 Golden Hello Package for new recruits.

Key responsibilities include taking calls, understanding the callers' needs, maintaining thorough documentation, and providing advice and safety planning for young people. The practitioner must engage effectively with youth and their families while coordinating with other services as needed. Regular supervision and training opportunities will be provided to support professional development in this role that emphasises safeguarding and risk assessment.
