The role of the Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (CSW) in Gynaecology Outpatient Services at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves providing essential nursing support under the supervision of qualified nurses in Specialist Outpatient Gynaecology clinics. The CSW is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various clinics, including Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, and Uro-gynaecology. Key duties include assisting patients during their visits, performing basic clinical tasks such as recording vital signs, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked clinic environment.

In addition to direct patient care, the CSW will communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, manage administrative tasks such as appointment bookings, and participate in safety and quality assurance activities. The position requires proactive monitoring of patient needs, adherence to safety and infection control policies, and a commitment to continuous professional development. The CSW will also engage in training both for personal growth and to support less experienced staff within the team.
