The Pharmacy Support Worker - Clinical Trials position at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting the dispensary team in managing investigational medicinal products (IMPs) under the supervision of Clinical Trials Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. This full-time role includes a range of administrative tasks related to clinical trials, adherence to study protocols, and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and departmental policies. The successful candidate will assist in the ordering, receipt, dispensing, and return of clinical trial medications, while also participating in chemotherapy preparation and general pharmacy housekeeping duties.

Candidates should be reliable and methodical, capable of working independently and committed to maintaining high standards. Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not required, as full training will be provided. The role offers opportunities for career progression, starting at Band 2 and advancing to Band 3 upon obtaining an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services. Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize workload are essential for effective collaboration within the pharmacy team and external stakeholders.
