The role of Consultant in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at Northampton's Berrywood Hospital involves delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients experiencing acute psychiatric conditions. The Consultant will be responsible for developing and overseeing recovery-focused treatment plans while working collaboratively with a specially recruited team of professionals. The unit aims to provide care for a short duration, focusing on managing acute phases of illness in the least restrictive environment possible. To provide the highest quality care to patients on the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit within the Berrywood Hospital, Northampton.

The Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring proactive, recovery-focused, individualised treatment plans are in place and being followed for each patient. He will be supported with a team of professionals who have been recruited specifically for this unit. Our intention is to have a short length of stay to manage only the acute phase of illness and support care in the least restrictive manner.
