We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Healthcare Science Practitioner to lead the Home Video Telemetry Service within our Neurophysiology team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the service, including managing patient appointments, referrals and recordings. Additionally, you will assist with the day to day management of the Clinical Neurophysiology service.

  • Lead the home video telemetry service, co-ordinating appointment, manage referrals and oversee waiting lists.
  • Assist with the daily management of the Neurophysiology service, including scheduling appointments, oversee workload distribution, monitor stock levels, assist with financial data and archive EEG data.
  • Perform a range of neurophysiological investigations, from basic tests to highly specialised procedures including EEG, NCS, evoked potential, MSLT / PSG, video telemetry, for a wide range of patients with diverse clinical conditions.

Full training will be given for more complex investigations.

The department is also actively involved in student training at STP and apprenticeship levels and you would be expected to be part of this.

An on-call rota operates at weekend and bank holidays between the hours of 9am-5pm.

  • Assist with the day-today management of the Clinical Neurophysiology service.
  • Performs a range of basic and highly specialised neurophysiological investigations on patients of all ages from a range of specialities suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those, which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature. This may be in the dedicated environment of the department or in nondedicated environment i.e. Intensive Therapy Unit at any location within the region.
