The role of Therapy Senior Support Worker at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust involves working 37.5 hours per week within a multidisciplinary team on ward 22, a short stay rehabilitation unit. The successful candidate will collaborate with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to implement treatment programs for medical patients, requiring strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to take initiative both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should have prior experience in healthcare, ideally as a therapy assistant, and possess a clear understanding of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles. The position also includes some administrative duties and a commitment to working core hours, with potential weekend and Bank Holiday shifts.

In this role, the Therapy Support Worker will contribute to the provision of therapeutic assessments and interventions, managing a clinical caseload assigned by team members. They will work closely with patients, families, and carers while liaising with other professionals to support individuals with complex needs, including those with physical, psychological, and communication difficulties.
