The position of Perinatal Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist at Oxford Health NHS Trust in Headington involves joining the Oxfordshire Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, where the psychologist will take a leadership role in clinical development, supervision, and training. The role includes providing psychological assessments and interventions for adults experiencing severe or complex mental health issues during the perinatal period, managing a personal caseload, and supporting junior staff in their therapeutic efforts.

In addition to direct clinical work, the psychologist will consult with other healthcare professionals in formulating care plans and will exercise governance over psychological practices within the team. They are expected to leverage research skills to drive audit and service development initiatives while proposing policy changes that can enhance team functioning and patient care.
