The role of Pharmacy Technician - Aseptics at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves joining a dynamic team focused on the safe and effective supply of chemotherapy and supportive medicines for cancer patients. The successful candidate will carry out key technical pharmaceutical duties, assist in the training of technicians and assistants, and support service improvements within the Pharmacy Aseptics area. This position offers progression to a senior pharmacy technician role with line management responsibilities, where the individual will engage in operational supervision, communication with oncology staff, and the development of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications such as an ACPT are preferred, but individuals without this will need to undertake the necessary accreditation. Responsibilities include dispensing chemotherapy under strict guidelines, managing drug stock, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and participating in quality assurance measures. The role requires ongoing professional development and involvement in various operational aspects to maintain high standards of pharmacy practice, with the potential for further leadership duties as proficiency increases.
