Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Band 6 Cross Sectional Radiographer to join their team, working 37.5 hours per week with flexibility required across a 7-day schedule. The role involves performing a wide range of CT and MRI procedures at multiple sites, including the new Community Diagnostic Centre. Candidates should have significant experience in MRI and/or CT, with current NHS experience preferred and the SOR IV Cannulation Qualification desired. The successful applicant will also provide leadership and training to junior staff, participate in out-of-hours cover, and ensure high standards of diagnostic imaging while adhering to health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, demonstrate continuous professional development, and show proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and various imaging techniques. The role demands strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams, as well as the ability to manage patient care under pressure. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of image quality, participating in training programs, and handling administrative tasks related to imaging records.
