King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Epilepsy for an 11-month secondment to cover maternity leave. This role involves managing a caseload of patients with epilepsy in a tertiary care setting, collaborating with Consultant Neurologists, Epileptologists, and Neuro-surgeons. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, enhancing their expertise in areas such as epilepsy surgery and medication management, while also contributing to the development of services and training for nursing staff.

Applicants should possess a strong knowledge of epilepsy, a commitment to high-quality patient care, and excellent communication skills. The role includes providing patient and family support, ensuring evidence-based care in line with research and NICE guidelines, and facilitating communication across healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for individuals with epilepsy. Support will be provided by the existing epilepsy nursing team and management staff, allowing for professional growth and service improvement within the specialty.
