The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join the CAMHS Head2Head Multidisciplinary Team. This position is ideal for an experienced Band 6 therapist looking to advance to a Band 7 role or for an existing Band 7 therapist interested in specializing in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health. The role involves working with young people facing challenges such as first episode psychosis, co-existing substance use difficulties, and complex emotional needs, requiring a solid understanding of neurodiversity, including Autism and Developmental Language Disorder.

In this position, you will conduct speech and language therapy assessments, provide tailored interventions, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to improve communication support for children and young people. The role includes flexibility in service delivery, allowing outreach to various settings like homes and schools, and emphasises a neuro-affirmative approach to facilitate understanding and support for those with communication and developmental differences. Regular supervision and support from senior colleagues will be provided, ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative clinical environment.
