The Band 4 Telecommunication Supervisor at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust will assist the Switchboard Team Leader in managing a 24/7 telecommunications service. This role involves supervising switchboard operators, ensuring a customer-focused service, and overseeing day-to-day operational management. The supervisor will be the primary contact for reported issues, requiring effective record-keeping and the ability to handle complex, sensitive interactions with users who may be distressed. Responsibilities also include resolving service complaints, ensuring efficient communication, and managing staffing emergencies by covering shifts when required.

Additionally, the role entails participating in team meetings, promoting effective teamwork, and adhering to information governance and patient confidentiality protocols. This position is crucial for maintaining a responsive and supportive telecommunications function within the hospital's IT Service Centre team.
