The Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join its research team as a Clinical Research Practitioner in Birmingham. Candidates must hold a current NMC registration and have experience in a paediatric setting, either clinically or in research. While full training will be provided for those with limited research experience, the successful candidate will primarily focus on developing the paediatric research portfolio and will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support various research projects relevant to the local population.

Key responsibilities include identifying new research opportunities, coordinating clinical trials, and ensuring the well-being and safety of research patients. The role involves performing essential study-related procedures such as participant assessments, obtaining informed consent, conducting clinical examinations, and reporting adverse events. The practitioner must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, manage a patient caseload across multiple trials, and autonomously prioritize their workload.
