The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking BANK Catering Assistants to join their Central Food Production Unit, responsible for preparing and cooking approximately 28,000 patient meals weekly across six hospitals. The role involves various responsibilities, including receiving and storing food, assisting with food preparation and production, picking and packing finished meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen environment. Candidates must be available for shifts between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and will receive full training for the position.

Ideal applicants may have a formal food qualification or relevant experience, as well as a Level 2 food hygiene certification, although these are not mandatory. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, reporting equipment issues, monitoring stock levels, and participating in cleanliness audits. Successful candidates will need to maintain a professional appearance and uniform as part of their role in delivering quality meals to patients and external customers.
