The "Foundation to Advance Clinical Pharmacist Programme" at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust in Worthing is an 18-month, competency-based training initiative designed for both new and experienced pharmacists aiming to transition from a post-registration foundation pharmacist (band 6) to an advanced clinical pharmacist (band 7). This program includes progressive development, support for completing a postgraduate diploma at University College London, and encourages obtaining an independent prescribing qualification to enhance career advancement.

The role also involves contributing to clinical governance and engaging in educational activities, such as supervising medical students and other pharmacy trainees. The recruitment is open to both trainee and experienced pharmacists, with candidates encouraged to specify their preferred work site within the application.
