Specialist Radiographer - MRI inCarmarthen inCarmarthen PUBLISHED 6 NOV 2024

Band 6: £37,898 to £45,637 a year per annum (pro rata if part time)  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY

Glangwili General Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic radiographer to join the MRI team. The MRI team work extended days until 8pm and on call from home overnight to spinal emergencies . MRI has a weekly paediatric general anaesthetic list. This is a full time permanent position. Within the health board there are radiographers reporting on MRI scans and other options to extend practice and experience.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration plus appropriate experience in MRI. You will be required to supervise student radiographers and assist with the training of rotational radiography staff.

The working pattern will utilise working 12 hour days across 7 days a week. Flexible working/job share will also be considered. Participation in the MRI on call rota is mandatory.

Glangwili General Hospital is a busy district general hospital situated in Carmarthenshire in West Wales. The department is well equipped with a GE 750 HD CT scanner and a Canon Aquilion Prism installed in January 2022.

The department has a Siemens Avanto 1.5T MRI scanner. The general department has two Samsung DR rooms, A Siemens CR room, all mobile equipment is Samsung digital and a selection of Philips II's. A Siemens Artis Zee fluoroscopy room facilitates ERCPs, barium studies, pacings and HSG's. There is a large ultrasound department and a busy interventionalradiology service.

Role extension is encouraged and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hysterosalpingograms, Plain film, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including ultrasound training across the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
