The Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an HR Advisor to join its People and Organisational Development Directorate during a time of cultural and organisational change. The role involves supporting managers in effective people management practices, aimed at reducing absenteeism and enhancing recruitment and retention efforts. The HR Advisor will provide high-quality HR services and ensure compliance with workforce policies, while managing cases related to sickness absence, disciplinary actions, and performance management. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with trade union representatives and senior staff, and while NHS experience is not mandatory, a background in HR, particularly within a large organisation, is vital.

Candidates should hold a degree or equivalent experience and have a strong operational HR background, along with knowledge of employment law. The position requires someone who can manage priorities effectively, develop training interventions, and possess excellent IT skills. The Trust supports flexible working arrangements, and the role will include occasional travel across the Trust's areas, with a hybrid working model of both home and office-based work.
