We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP The Mount , a
category C

 Prison located 
on the outskirts of Bovingdon village in Hertfordshire, England


.

The Mount prison originally opened in 1987 as a young offenders institution. It was designed as a Category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire.


Hours

Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. 


Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £49,770
 
per annum FTE - depending on experience.

2 year 
Golden Hello
 (£2,000 in Year 1 of service and £1,500 in Year 2 of service - conditions apply).

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary.

  • As a Senior Nurse in our integrated mental health team you will be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs.
  • You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
  • You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
