The University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist for a 12-month secondment in Chichester. The successful candidate will have experience in managing chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease, and will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care through patient assessment, management in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and supporting pulmonary rehabilitation efforts. Key responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, managing a caseload of patients, working alongside respiratory consultants in pleural clinics, and contributing to the development of the severe asthma service.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, organized, and capable of independent practice. They will advocate for patients, monitor treatment plans, and educate both patients and healthcare professionals. The role demands collaboration across various healthcare settings and an active involvement in research and clinical audits to enhance service delivery. Candidates should hold a valid UK NMC registration, and if currently employed elsewhere, must obtain consent for secondment before applying.
