The Nursing Associate - Community role at St Giles Hospice in Lichfield involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Reporting to the Clinical Lead for Community Services, the Nursing Associate assists with day-to-day clinical tasks, ensuring dignity and comfort for patients, while also supporting their emotional and spiritual needs. Key responsibilities include maintaining effective communication with patients and families, planning and prioritizing visits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, infection control policies, and documentation requirements.

In this position, the Nursing Associate is expected to collaborate with various healthcare professionals, evaluate patient needs, and contribute to care plans tailored to individual requirements. The role also requires ongoing professional development, adherence to best practice guidelines, and a commitment to promoting a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
