We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist/Patient Care Assistant to work across our Petherton and Malborough road practice!
This is a full time role (40 hours per week), the role time will be divided 20 hours PCA and 20 hours reception across Pethertons and Marlborough Road.
The shifts will be 10 hours a day (8am-7pm) with a 1 hour lunch break
It willalso include Saturdays (8.30am-2.30pm) on a rota basis. Time is given back the following week
You will provide a friendly, efficient and professional service to our clients and their animals. You will need to be able to work well within a team, sometimes under high pressure. Previous veterinary receptionist experience would be preferable but not essential.
Main Duties Would Include
Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests
Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking payments and dealing with enquiries
Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system, so good IT skills would be preferable
Cleaning duties are involved
Animal handling
Assisting vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment
Cleaning, walking and feeding patients

Salary in line with National Minimum Wage
6 weeks leave a year (5 weeks plus bank holidays/equivalent) rising to 7.6 weeks leave a year after first 5 years of service (1 extra day per annum based on service)
