Job description
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Patient Access Manager (PAM) to support the effective and sustainable delivery of the Specialist Services in the East Operations Directorate.
The post holder will work at the very forefront of community healthcare, providing specialist expertise to our operational teams based across Sussex.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Specialist Services leadership team. They will be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to manage complex waiting lists and have a proven track record of delivering improvements to waiting times standards. They will also have strong informatics/data analytics skills and experience of using data to make informed decisions around changes to operational processes and/or future service developments.
The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate compassionate leadership, knowledge of quality improvement and change management, able to work well within a team, be driven and motivated, able to prioritise and have excellent communication skills.

The Successful Candidate Can Expect To
- Deliver sustainable performance improvements in relation to waiting times standards.
- Be responsible for the management of the Patient Tracking List (PTL) / Waiting List (WL) for a range of specialist services.
- Work alongside Clinical Services Managers (CSMs) and the General Manager (GM) to identify capacity and resources needed to help reduce the waiting list backlog and achieve compliance with the targets.
- Develop, together with the Trust’s Information Team, a system of regular reporting and monitoring of the waiting list per specialty.
