Job summary

The Under 25 Substance Misuse Team are seeking to recruit a Band 6 RGN to join our expanding service. The Under 25 Substance Misuse Team are cross county service that provide treatment and intervention to young adults with a broad range of presentations and substance use related needs.

We are looking to recruit adaptable, highly motivated, skilled RGN nurse with a range of professional expertise to be part of our team.

A background in working with young people or substance use would be of benefit but as part of an induction, relevant training can be offered to build on already existing skills.

This post offers the Trust's £4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).

Main duties of the job

The service provides a county wide response to young people up to the age of 25, where the misuse of substances has impacted upon their welfare, physical or mental health and an intervention is required. This would take place in a home environment or in community based locations such as Youth Justice services, Social Care settings or alongside our colleagues in social and health care.

The aim of the service is to provide our clients with the skills and knowledge to make safer and informed choices and improve both their mental and physical health as a result.

As a Band 6 RGN you will bring your professional discipline and experience to the team; you will hold a caseload of complex cases working with the clients and their careers to achieve good health care and wellbeing.

This would also involve delivering interventions to assist our colleagues in providing and promoting healthcare treatment.

You will have a particular affinity for working with young people aged up to 25 and that all young people have the right to a great future.

countywide service. It is essential that you can meet both the travel and remote working requirements of

this role.

You will work with young people and, as needed, their careers in their homes and communities to enhance relationships, reduce the risk of the impact and effects of substance and alcohol misuse.
