About Us


Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Receptionist to join our Facilities Team based in Manchester.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation; health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2 .

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

Our Manchester Office requires a
Part time receptionist 08:30am-13:30pm hours daily Monday to Friday
(specific duties and Kpi(s) will be defined during induction
)

to include:


  • Entry and welcome (signing in and out)
  • Protection of staff , assets and visitors
  • Monitoring and distribution of key fobs
  • Information and direction
  • Waiting and meeting area.
  • Building checks to include monitoring of cleaning, H&S and Repairs/fault reporting
  • Input and proactively manage all data to support the successful management of the reception and records appropriate to Facilities Management in the Manchester office and wider Northern region.
  • Working closely with Property Compliance Officer, Administrator and Facilities Manager to assist the London office with scheduling property compliance surveys, checks and audits
  • Create monthly reports to be delivered to the Head of Facilities, Building Safety & HSE


About You


  • Effective communicator with natural ability to facilitate open and honest conversations.
  • Able decision maker with a can do attitude.
  • Respectful and empathetic, always considering the impact on our young people.
  • Flexible, always adapting to changing needs.
  • Proactive, always looking for creative ways of working.
  • Previous experience in Reception or Administration role preferred
  • Ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines.
  • Experience of working in an organization providing customer facing services
