Ensure that car parking consumables are ordered as required, to maintain adequate stocks.
The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and operating the car parking facilities at NMGH ensuring Trust Policies are followed and that the car parks are operated safely and efficiently. The post holder will be working with Trust values, supporting visitors with information and directions where required and will enforce parking restrictions in line with the Trust’s Car Parking Management Policy.

  • Liaise with staff, patients and visitors to the site to ensure that the Trust’s Car Parking Management Policy is adhered to and enforced at all times.
  • Issue parking charge notices (PCN) for vehicles parked illegally and record non compliances on an electronic incident database.
  • Communicate and enforce car parking regulations and offer guidance in an appropriate manner to staff, patients and visitors
  • Attempt to resolve car parking disputes at source, and if appropriate refer to the Deputy Car Parking Manager
  • Report any accidents and general incidents occurring within the car parking areas to the Deputy Car parking Manager, following the Trust’s incident reporting procedure.
  • Undertake regular checks on Car Parks and Pay Stations, to ensure they are fully operative and report any faults to the Car Park Administrator team.
  • Undertake regular checks on Pay Stations to ensure they contain sufficient tickets for 24 hours allocation. Top up with tickets when required
  • Ensure that car parking consumables are ordered as required, to maintain adequate stocks
  • Patrol car parks throughout each day to ensure that appropriate permits/payment receipts are displayed in staff/visitor car parks.
  • Monitor roads, access points and car park areas to detect any risks and obstructions. Take appropriate steps to maintain safe access and egress as required.
  • Reserve car parking spaces and cordon off areas when required Maintain radio communication with the Car Parking Office.
