The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is the United Kingdom’s oldest and largest dedicated neurology and neurosurgical hospital. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established Multiple Sclerosis team as an Patient Pathway Coordinator.

The post holder will actively manage the administrative processes attached to patient treatment pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients. They will deliver a high-quality administration service, a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.

Both written and verbal excellent communication skills are expected along with experience of maintaining databases and confidence in using Excel. The role requires someone who is proactive, willing to take ownership and accountability, and able to manage a high volume workload.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic candidate who demonstrates knowledge and skills with a focus on maintaining and achieving high quality patient care. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as the role involves working closely within a multidisciplinary team.

There are a variety of treatment options available for MS which require a dedicated role to maintain the governance and safety of these treatments working alongside the nursing staff.

Good organisational and communication skills, flexibility, accuracy, and the ability to work autonomously, with attention to detail, within a busy environment are key attributes. A good working knowledge of Excel is crucial to this role.

The post holder will be a team player who must promote and contribute towards achieving the Trust’s UCLH top ten objectives, and demonstrate our Trust Values, behaviours and standards.
