Job Responsibilities
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Mobility Support: Helping clients with mobility and transfers, using aids as necessary.
- Medication Management: Administering medications as prescribed and maintaining accurate records.
- Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals, taking into account any dietary restrictions.
- Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship, engaging in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in clients health and behaviour to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and client progress.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a Domiciliary Care Worker or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Qualifications: A relevant certification in health and social care is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a caring nature.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
