Job summary - To provide continuity in the day to day running of plastic surgeryoutpatient clinics.
- To support staff and patients working in those clinics.
- To provide care for patients in a variety of clinical environmentswhere patients having plastic surgery are managed, including woundcare.
- To be responsible for the management of supplies.
- To run clinics for ankle brachial pressure index assessment.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder is required to work primarily in the plastic surgery outpatient area. However, the person may work in the Hand Unit.
The role within all departments is assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients; supporting medical and senior nursing staff in the provision of clinics; managing, ordering, and organising supplies for the clinic; undertaking lower limb assessment for ankle brachial pressure index prior to compression management.
The day to day running of Consultant and Nurse led plastic outpatient clinics. Resource management in terms of supplies; equipment and ordering, in the department and fire warden.
