We are seeking to recruit a creative and forward-thinking Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for our Psychological Therapies Team at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM).

The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) is the largest public-sector provider of integrated medicine in Europe. We provide an innovative, patient-centred service integrating the best of conventional and complementary treatments for a wide range of conditions.

The RLHIM Psychological Therapies Team is a vibrant, friendly, and highly skilled team consisting of psychological therapists offering a wide-range of evidence-based psychological treatments (incl. CBT, ACT, mindfulness and EMDR) to patients with complex and chronic physical health conditions including but, not restricted to ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia. There are strong links with other UCLH psychological teams and with the North Thames Clinical Psychology training courses.

Within our team, there is great interest in promoting trauma-informed and somatosensory ways of working with people with these conditions as well as delivering treatments for individuals diagnosed or self-identified as neurodiverse. We would therefore welcome clinicians who are interested in consolidating their skills in these areas and contributing to the further expansion of psychological therapies within RLHIM.

Clinical work will involve psychological assessments and the provision of brief psychological interventions for people with a wide range of psychological difficulties related to the physical health condition. In conjunction with this work, an important part of the role will be consultative and include the provision of teaching and consultation to other RLHIM clinicians as well as participating in audits and service improvement projects.
