Job summaryWe are looking for a self-motivated pharmacy technician to join the Specialist Network at Pennine Care, working within the Multidisciplinary and pharmacy teams.
The individual must be a good communicator, accurate, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to use their own initiative and work as part of a busy team.
All applicants must have a recognised Pharmacy technician qualification, NVQ level 3, BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent experience, must be an accredited accuracy checker and registered with the GPhC.
Main duties of the jobTo participate in the development of a range of medicines management activities at ward level including medication history taking and medicines reconciliation to inpatient units including Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) wards at Tameside and Stockport, and Radcliffe Place (Learning Disability unit) in Bury.
To coordinate the supply of medication to ensure good medicines management practices.
To act as a key member of the multidisciplinary ward team and the wider pharmacy team providing medicines management advice to healthcare professionals and counselling to patients and carers.
To participate in local and national audits and provide information as required.
