Play a vital part in haematology care at The Christie Macclesfield satellite as a Band 4 Haematology Administration Support. In this role you will bridge the gap between healthcare assistants and registered nurses, triaging patient calls, supporting CNS, ACP and consultants, and working across the chemotherapy suite and outpatient clinics. Clinical responsibilities include phlebotomy, peripheral cannulation, ECGs, central line care, preparing bone marrow lists and assisting with sample collection for research, alongside administrative duties such as appointment coordination, results checks and liaising with community teams. The post demands excellent communication, IT literacy and a patient‑centred approach to support patients and their families through often complex pathways.
This permanent, part‑time Band 4 role offers pro‑rata pay (£27,485–£30,162) and a supportive, inclusive environment within one of Europe’s leading cancer centres. You’ll get structured development, mandatory training and opportunities to lead nurse‑led clinics and grow clinical skills in a trusted, research‑active setting — ideal for experienced haematology staff or carers looking to upskill while keeping flexible hours.
