Care for mothers and newborns at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester as a Band 2 Maternity Support Worker with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will assist midwives across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, support women and their families through routine and adverse outcomes, and help maintain a safe, compassionate clinical environment. Duties include personal care, basic observations (MEOWS/NEWTT under supervision), infant feeding support, accurate record-keeping and recognising obstetric or neonatal emergencies. This permanent role (full- or part-time) is Band 2, pays £24,465 pa pro rata and involves shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays (0730–2000 or 1930–0800). Essential requirements include GCSEs in English and maths (A–C), willingness to undertake local NVQ training and a DBS check.
