As a Cleaning Services Assistant with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, you’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, hygienic environment across clinical and non‑clinical areas at the NG7 site. The role covers deep cleaning of wards and sanitary areas, replenishing consumables, waste removal, curtain and bed changes, and use of specialist machinery for floors and upholstery. You’ll work closely with ward teams and facilities leaders to meet infection‑control standards, respect patient dignity and keep communal spaces welcoming. Full on‑the‑job training is provided, including safe handling of cleaning agents and equipment, so no previous commercial experience is needed.

NUH is one of the city’s largest employers with strong development opportunities, a supportive, diverse team culture, 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a subsidised staff restaurant and staff discounts. If you’re practical, caring and enjoy hands‑on work, this is a chance to build a steady, long‑term role within the NHS.
