The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is looking for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to deliver hands‑on bedside nursing care on a 28‑bed inpatient oncology ward (Wilmslow Road, M20). You will care for patients receiving cancer treatment, managing treatment side effects or needing palliative and end‑of‑life support. Day‑to‑day duties include assisting registered nurses with procedures and observations, supporting mobility and repositioning, catheter care and accurate fluid‑balance recording, helping with nutrition and hydration, preparing patients and equipment for clinical procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment and completing clear documentation. The ward values a compassionate, teamwork‑centred approach and expects staff to support relatives, respect cultural and religious needs, and take part in one‑to‑one observation and last‑offices when required.
