Job summary
The Senior Healthcare Support Worker within the Outpatient setting across a variety of areas on site, providing high quality, caring, compassionate and personal care to patients and their families/carers, under the direction of the registered healthcare professionals and senior colleagues, both independently and as part of the multi- disciplinary team. We currently have vacancies for a 37.5 hour post and a 28.5 hour post.Successful applicants must possess a high level of professionalism and confidence, and a positive commitment to service improvement. We expect every team member to share in leadership and decision making, and to support junior and novice staff inachievementof their own potential.We are committed to supporting our staff to achieve their full potential and there are opportunities for ongoing CPD including wound care, medical devices and training specific to various specialities like ENT and Orthopaedics.You will be expected to meet all the Values and Behaviours set out by The Trust, act as a role model for junior staff and go that extra mile to provide the high standard of service required at all times in our Outpatient Department
Main duties of the job
As well as administrative preparation, communication with the public and delivering personal care, this senior role includes undertaking venepuncture, measurement of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, Blood Pressure) & ECG recording . Training will be given for the right candidate if you do not already have these skills.
