Main duties of the job
To assist in the provision of catering for the children's daily food and beverages, ensuring a nutritious diet and catering for any individual dietary requirements.Serving/assisting in the distribution of meal boxes and mealsPreparation of simple foodsAssist staff in the serving of meals and clearing away after meal timesMaintaining a high standard of hygiene within the Nursery kitchen is a major function of the role.Carry out laundry tasks on a daily basis, ensuring the laundry space is well maintained and compliant with Health and Safety/COSHH regulationsCollate meal numbersPrepare trolleys for meal timesAssist Nursery staff in the serving of food to the childrenLiaise with Nursery staff to ensure all dietary requirements are accurate and up to date.
