Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Support Worker to join the team working in theatres.The post holder will be responsible for:Assisting the surgical team to provide a quality service.Assisting the surgical team to deliver safe patient careSupporting the surgical team in the preparation of sterile and non- sterile equipment.Maintaining a clean and tidy environment throughout theatres.Maintaining a good stock levelsAs part of the weekend and on call.Previously applying candidates do not need to apply.
Main duties of the job
Works as part of the team to maintain good working relationships.Communicates well both verbal and written.Is able to work under supervision.Able to provide and receive routine information.Provides information to enable the effectiveness of care to be evaluated.Reports any concern regarding patient care.Maintains confidentiality.Supervised by the trained nurse, records care.Able to make sure infection control standards are maintained by all members of the MDTAble to maintain Theatres clean and tidy all the timesJoin weekend and night rotation after competence training.You must also demonstrate a good verbal and written command of English, along with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and a reasonable level of numeracy equivalent to GCSE.There will be an expectation that you complete a Care Certificate qualification in Perioperative care.To view the main responsibility, please see the attached the
