Senior Clinical Service Lead - Soft Tissue Knee inCoventry inCoventry PUBLISHED 27 DEC 2023

Band 7: £46,148 to £52,809 a year per annum  PERMANENT 

1. Facilitate the production of high-quality outcomes evaluation studies.

2. Provide a highly specialist, high standard clinical service, relevant to the needs of the post and qualifications of the successful applicant, assessing and advising the defined patient group.

3. Liaising with other appropriate clinical leads to ensure an integrated service is provided for the service area.

4. Provide support and advice for the continuous development, co-ordination and evaluation of the Knee Team pathways (therapy and trust pathways).

5. Provide a source of specialist clinical opinion within the fields of knee surgery for therapy staff and/or other health care professionals both internal and particularly external to the Trust, appropriate to the specialist nature of procedures performed at UHCW NHS Trust.

6. Provide knowledge and expertise on the assessment and management of patients in this specialist service area.

7. Provide effective input into the work of the Trust, to support the achievement of our Trust values.

This post would be suitable for a nurse or physiotherapist with experience managing musculoskeletal disease especially with soft tissue knees.

The post will also develop research knowledge and skills and allow a research-interested allied health professional to progress their knowledge and skills in an exciting and world-famous team.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of a defined group of clinical trials and research studies from set up to dissemination and archiving, meeting agreed patient recruitment targets and follow-up targets whilst coordinating and growing a research portfolio that has had many years of success. They will be patient-facing in their role and will engage in clinical activities as required by the post to contribute to this wider goal.
